La Porte, Texas

We commemorate this day to honor the memory and the spirit of those who achieved independence for Texas on the battlefield of San Jacinto on April 21, 1836

It is not for the aggrandizement of living persons or any specific organization. But rather, it is a time to reflect on past deeds and those who were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the Principles they cherished.
